Acts Housing faced challenges in utilizing hard-to-find and messy data in ways that enabled them to fully understand their impact on community development and communicate that impact to key stakeholders including donors.
They partnered with us for our local commitment and data analysis expertise, and we initially focused on creating a report detailing the long-term success of Acts Housing’s alumni homeowners.

MMAC encountered significant challenges in effectively managing and presenting school quality data. The initial obstacles involved sourcing school data and mapping it visually for analysis.
We embarked on a two-phase solution to improve how the MMAC managed and presented its school quality data.

Wanting to understand how the consolidation of lending institutions impacted entrepreneurial opportunities, a reporter supported by a Marquette University journalism fellowship and her team were faced with challenges accessing, analyzing, and interpreting complex bank data.
To address these challenges, we implemented comprehensive data-driven solutions.

PEFNC faced challenges in combining and reconciling different data sources in a consistent, clear, and reproducible way, so they came to us during the 2022-23 school year.
We set out to create a beautifully responsive, bilingual web application that allows users to explore all the primary and secondary schools in the state across each sector.

The Nor Cal Carpenters Union already had the raw data they needed, but they wanted help efficiently turning it into a useful dataset and better understanding the landscape of affordable housing projects in California.
We designed a workflow to extract about 300 data points from each application, and then receive that data as a simple spreadsheet with one row for each project.
You don’t work with numbers and figures; you work with people and
communities. You’re building a better tomorrow.
